Woman notices her photo has been ‘bumped’ from mum’s display – and response is brutal

Parents often love to fill their homes with photos of their children from over the years, expanding this to include grandchildren and other relatives as time passes.

One mum has a cabinet covered in family photos in her home, but her daughter recently noticed something odd about the display.

A TikTok user named Rachel Frost from the US, shared a video of her mum’s picture collection, showing various weddings and smiley babies.

But as she looked through the images, she realised she couldn’t see one of herself anywhere.

She asked her mum what was going on, saying: “Umm… mom? Did I get bumped?

“Did I get bumped? How did Gumby… I’m not here.”

Her mum then comes over and picks up a frame from the back of the cabinet that was tucked behind another picture.

The frame has four images in and a picture of Rachel when she was a child is placed in the bottom corner.

Rachel simply says “oh” clearly feeling disappointed by this.

Her mum then has the most brutal response as to what she can do to get a better picture on the display.

She tells her: “Well, you know what? Get married, or be a baby.”

Her mum laughs as she says this.

More than 300,000 people have watched the video clip, with more than 50,000 liking it.

One person replied: “My mom noticed my grandma bumped me when I was 12, so she mailed her a new photo. GRANDMA MAILED IT BACK.”

Another commented: “Awww, AND she tucked your pic behind the other one. Fierce.”

A third said: “At my MIL’s my husband’s sister were hung up on the wall, but the one of my husband was hung behind the fish tank. Couldn’t even see it.”

Someone else admitted: “My Nana has a picture of my ex-boyfriend from 11 years ago on her fridge. I am now married to a completely different man!”

Rachel later shared an update in her mum’s defense in the comments on TikTok.

She added: “2020 brought her TWO grandkids and my brother (finally) got married after dating my SIL for 13 years.

“My fiance has two kids that my parents have fully welcomed as grandkids. We simply don’t have a good photo of us all together. Photoshoot is coming soon and Helen won’t have a choice.”
